Tutorial for Consumers

This tutorial gives information about using the FillAppt mobile app for consumers. It covers steps to install and use FillAppt on an iPhone. Similar steps apply to other mobile devices such as Android and Windows Phones.

  1. Installation

    Find your device’s App Store icon:

    Then click on the search icon (magnifying glass at bottom) and type the word FillAppt in the search box that comes up and press search. You will see the FillAppt app as below, click on the cloud icon to download

  2. Registration

    To use FillAppt, you have to complete a one-time quick registration. Start the FillAppt app by clicking on its icon:

    Then, if you have not already registered, click on Create an account:

    Now, complete the fields for your name, email address and password, then click Sign Up button. You should see a message similar to the one below in blue at the top of the screen:

    Note: If you see a message indicating that you were previously registered, you will still get an email asking you to confirm your account. Now, go to your email account. You should find an email from Register@FillAppt.com with a link to confirm your account. The email looks like the following:

  3. Usage

    To use FillAppt, enter the email address and password setup in Section 2, then press Log In:

    When you first log in, you won’t be monitoring any providers, so your screen will resemble the following:

    If you have an invitation code for a provider, you can enter it and press Search as in the following screen:

    If you don’t have an invitation code for a provider, you can still search by the provider’s business name and then select the provider you’re interested in (as below):

    When you find a provider that you want to follow, press Preferences to set your options for following that provider:

    After you pick a provider to follow, your main FillAppt screen will change accordingly. You can follow as many providers as you like.

    When an appointment is available for a provider, you can either press the appointments button or your FillAppt display will change to the following to show you a new appointment in real-time:

    You can then click on the Book button to get the appointment, a confirmation dialog will be presented:

    When you confirm the appointment, you’ll see the following confirmation message

    Only the first person to book an advertised appointment will get it. Note also that some providers may still want to confirm the appointments manually. In this case, your appointment will be set to PENDING until you hear back from your provider.

    After you book an appointment, you’ll be shown a list of all appointments that you’vbe booked through the system as below.

Tutorial for Service Providers

This tutorial will show you how to go about setting up your business on FillAppt. Please note that enrollment of businesses is currently limited. To request an account, please send an email to: FillApptSupport

Setting up your business is quick and easy. Here are the steps which can usually be accomplished in less than an hour if you have all the information assembled ahead of time:

  1. Obtain a business account by e-mailing the staff at FillApptSupport
  2. Confirm your business account

  7. Create contact lists [Optional if you will only be using the FillAppt mobile app]

  8. Setup your consumer contact e-mails (optional) using either single-record entry or file uploads [Optional if you will only be using the FillAppt mobile app]

    Use the FileUploads tab if you have many contacts to setup:

    Make sure your Excel spreadsheet containing the contacts has this format (including the column headers):

  9. Broadcast a message to your contacts announcing that they’ll start receiving e-mails from FillAppt whenever appointments are available. [Optional if you will only be using the FillAppt mobile app]
